Dragon Project

This is the best presentation I have ever made. Along with my best friend Christian, this was an astonishing slideshow and was made with knowledge. Hope you think about dragons too and don't be against them. They might be creatures that were real and maybr have walked the earth before us. It is probably 30% that dragons are real, but they are 100% real, *cough cough* in fantasies. A lot of people think that drago-*cough* dragons ar-*choke choke* are *mumble* uh....... ummm..... fake. -_-

My Last Post For The Year

I was closing my eyes. I 100% relied on them. They are my best friends and I wanted them to be on my last post for 2017. They are carrying me and I am the King :D

Christian is on the far left side and is my personal secretary. I am in the middle as a king. On the far right is my trusty right hand man(also known as the Magical Math Magician). I love this photo. That is why I wanted to put this photo on my last post of primary 2017.

One of my jobs on room 19 was a fish monitor. I liked my job and tried really hard and fed them at the right times. The fish names are, Ghost, iXPLODE(he is named after a famous gaming channel), Bulby, Demon, and finally, scavenger. Sadly, Ghost and Bulby died from a lack of oxygen. :(   Room 19 decided to bury them in our orchard. They will be remember through generations and generations. May they sleep peacefully to thy rest.

Well, that is my final welcome post. I hope you enjoyed my blog and have a great day. This is my last post but, I might upload one more post about dragons because I have a dragon obsession. Hope you enjoyed.

Auggie's Classroom Perimeter

WALT: calculator the perimeter of shapes.

I was able to find the perimeter by multiplying the length and width of the shapes together. I knew my basic facts so it made it a tiny bit easier.

But it was still really hard and it seemed impossible at first. That is why I found this task really tricky and my brain was cracking up(well, not really, but it was really hard)!

Next time, I could do something very similar so I can get better and improve my perimeter skills to have more ways to solve question with perimeter.

Wonder Reading

WALT : recognize and understand specific language features

I was able to understand the meanings of different types of language features. For example, personification, idioms, hyperbole.
I found hyperbole and personifications tricky. I didn't know which was which.

So, next time I will work on personifications and hyperbole's and eventually improve my writings.

Kindness Acrostic Poem

WALT: Use the word 'kindness' to create an acrostic poem about Wonder by R.J. Palacio(and use new words in the process)

Reflection

I was able to be successful on making a acrostic poem on the word kindness and also use new words that I have never pr hardly used in my whole entire life.
These are the new words I used in my reflection.
Infinite, elite and precept.

Next time I could come up with more new words and a better acrostic poem. Also I could do similar activities to this one to improve at acrostic poems and eventually get better and better at it over time because I think I could have done better.

Holes - Make A Nail Polish

This is my nail polish for the holes activity. I had to make up and design a nail polish that is similar to the one The Warden used to slash her nails to slash across Mr. Sir's face.

Anzac Poster.

This is my Anzac information poster that I made with my friend. I finished this earlier on this year but I didn't upload it. Hope you like this and give me some positive feed back if you would like to. It's your choice.

Holes

This is my slideshow of Holes where I had to compare between the Holes Movie and the holes book. This activity was interesting because I could have my idea's all in this presentation. I worked very hard on this and hope you enjoy/enjoyed it.

Diabetes

WALT: locate, select and evaluate text for specific information including internet sources

I was able to locate/select information from the internet. I tried to find some websites to help me but then, they were all adult websites and I couldn't understand the scientific words that were in the website. Luckily, Mrs P had found two websites that was more understandable and I selected some sentences and made them into my own words to put in my slideshow.\

Next time I could try to find the understandable websites on my own so it is fully my work. I also want to work more on research so I can get a lot better at it and I also can expand my knowledge more by reading and memorizing information that I can use in reality.

Ghost Speech Bubbles

This is my Ghost Four Speech Bubbles activity. I had to make four speech bubbles that Ghost might have been thinking right before they started the race on the track.

Post Card For Patina

This is a postcard that I had to make for my Patina activity. I really enjoyed this and I hope I can do a similar activity to this because this was really fun to write.

Ghost Math + How To Use A Calculator

WALT: use a calculator with accuracy.

I was able to use a calculator to get the total of my purchases and I also made sure that I spent only $2000 dollars on the dot and no more and also no less.

Next time I could do something similar to this so I can get better and improve because right now, I am really bad at this and I am not that proud of myself.

Speech 2017

WALT: deliberately choose words to create an effect on the audience

I was able to choose persuasive words in my speech like because, if you think, and the most, etc.
Next time I could use emotive language in the writing because I don't use it often and I should be able to use them deliberately.

Celebration - Dance

WALT : understand that people celebrate in different ways.

I was able to make a slideshow about dance and was successful non making it.
Next time I could do something similar so I get better.

Ghost Predictions

I was learning to make a prediction for the book called Ghost.
I was able to make a prediction based on the cover of the book called Ghost and answer the rest of the questions.
Next time I could work on this a bit more so I can get better at making predictions.

Usain Bolt

Walt : locate and evaluate information about Usain Bolt on the internet.

My Reflection

I was able to get information about Usain Bolt on a wikipedia and then double check the information by looking it up on another website.
I found this activity hard because it was hard to find the exact information you need/wanted.
Next time I could try to find more useful and interesting information about Usain Bolt.

Matariki / Moon Phases

Walt : accurately identify and organise the phases of the moon.

I was able to identify and organise the phases of the moon by putting the moon pictures and name them correctly.

I learned that the Waxing Crescent and Waxing Gibbous is on the left side for the southern hemisphere and the Waning Crescent and the Waning Gibbous is on the right side. I also learned that, if you look at the moon at the northern hemisphere, it is the opposite of what you will see in the southern hemisphere.

Matariki is related to the moon in a way but I forgot.

Next time I could try to look at the moon at night and try to figure out what the moon is, eg. Waxing Crescent, Waning Gibbous, First Quarter.

Boxing Day

WALT: understand passing on messages is important so we understand why we celebrate

I was able to find a lot of information about Boxing Day on the internet and make them into my own words. I didn't know much about

Walt:  identify and understand the different ways that birthdays are celebrated around the world.

I was able to find out how Belgians celebrated by going onto the internet to find information about how Belgians celebrate birthdays.
I found this activity hard and tricky but I still found it interesting.
Next time I could try and add more information on how Belgians celebrate birthdays.

Writing Competition

I have entered this writing competition and I am super excited and I can hardly stand it! I hope that my book wins and gets published

A-Z Celebrations

Quotation Marks

Walt : use a wide range of advance punctuation correctly.

I was able to make a video about me doing a quiz about quotation marks. In this quiz, I struggled a bit and couldn't decide which answer is right because in some of the questions, I didn't know if the words were thoughts or words.

Next time I could try something like this again I can improve.

Now And Then Birthdays

We are learning to compare and contrast birthdays

I was able to go onto the internet to find activities to compare and put them into the correct circle.
Next time I could have more information and more activities to compare.

Multiplication

WALT: use a variety of multiplication strategies to solve problems.

I was able to use the rounding and compensating, doubling and halving and other math strategies
Next time I could work on another way to solve multiplication problems and also review the strategies that I have learned.

I was able to find the important fact. I read the document and wrote the important facts. I wrote a hole lot of facts and then chose the 6 most important facts.
Next time I could Put the facts in my own words and not copy and paste the infomation/facts.

I was able to use a Thesaurus and I went back and changed coming to approaching.

Next time I could use a Thesaurus regularly to help me find more interesting words.

I was able to write unknown words in my word clarification sheet and find out what they mean.

Camp Merc

All year six people went to Camp Merc and had a lot of fun.

W did a lot of physical activity's.  Plus we had to wake up early and run all the way across the beach.

I hope we could go there again because I want to run along the beach in the mornings.

My Kennings Poem

WALT: Distinguish between relevant and irrelevant ideas for my kenning's poem.

I was able to write ideas about me that most people didn't know about.

Next time I could make the poem more epic and legendary.

Statistics

Walt : interpret information from histograms and tally marks eg. medium, mode, range, mean



I was able to put the information from the class scores to the histogram.

• The Mode for the first names were 8
• The mode for the last names were 11
• The Mode for the full names were 22

The mode means the most popular number/the most common number.

To get the mode for 2,2,3,4,7,5,3,8,9, first you have to put these numbers from least of greatest.

Like this, 2,2,3,3.4.5.7,8,9. Then you find the number that has came out the most. But in this situation, the are 2 modes. So the mode is 2 and 3. That's how you get the mode in math.

Next time I want to try something new and something challenging.

45 Letter Sounds

Walt : use different spelling patterns and strategies to increase my word knowledge.

There are 45 letters sounds in the English language.  Sometimes these sounds are made by one letter and sometimes they are a made by a group of letters together.  Learning these letter sounds will help me spell unknown tricky words and increase my word knowledge.

WALT: Write 10 things about me, 5 wrong things and 5 right things.

I was able to write ten appropriate things about me.

Next time I could maybe do 20 things about me because I will be fun/challenging!

Welcome Post

I was learning to write my name like this and figure out how many numbers there is in my name.

I was able to make my name and post it on the screen and find out my numbers.

Next time I could figure out many other names and find out my parents numbers in their names.

Some of my goals this year is:
