Learning about Explanation writing

My Reflection 

I have been learning about explanation writing.

I now know that explanation writing tells about how something works.

I found the quiz hard because this was the first time I've heard of an explanation writing.

My next step is to write my own explanation writing.

Term 3 Week 2

This term my class has been learning about fractions.  At week 1 everyone in my class had a test to see what stage they were for fractions because the people who are good at multiplying might be bad at fractions because a person might by good at something and that person might be bad at something else.  From the day after we had our test, we continued on our independent learning.  On mathletics we have lots of set tasks that are fractions.  I am good at math but I am not really good at fractions but since I make some mistakes I will learn better because my teachers say that when we make mistakes we will learn from the mistakes we make.  I like fractions even if I don't know them because it is better to struggle because that means that we are learning.

Next I would like to learn more about fractions.

It was hard to choose the quote because there were so good messages inside the quote.

My next step is to make my own quote, not copying a quote someone else made.

Tree Planting

Today room 28/29 went to our schools back field to plant some plants.  First we learnt how to plant a plant.  Then we got in pairs and planted some plants and this is how we plant a plant.

First we have to grab a spade and make a deep square shape on the ground.  Next we dig the spade into one of the sides of the square that you made on the ground.  After that we put this thing called fertiliser pellet in the bottom of the hole.  The fertiliser pellet will give the plant a boost to grow.  After that we put the plant into the hole.  We now finish it by puting the soil you have dug out back in to the hole Today room 28/29 went to our schools back field to plant some plants.  First we learnt how to plant a plant.  Then we got in pairs and planted some plants and this is how we plant a plant.
